What are deniers?
Denier is simply a unit of measurement. It is the weight in grams of the yarn used for a length of 9000 meters.
For example, the weight of the yarn used to make 30 denier tights is 30 grams for 9000 meters.
Deniers are used to indicate the thickness and opacity of tights.
The lower the denier, the thinner and more transparent the tights. Conversely, the higher the denier, the heavier the yarn used and therefore the thicker and more opaque the tights will be.
Money for every occasion?
Now that you know what they are, you might be wondering which one to choose. Feel free to play with the deniers to vary your styles.
For a chic and classic look you can opt for medium opaque black tights like 40D or 60D for greater opacity.
On the contrary, more transparent tights like 30D, in beige or black, will be perfect for a more casual style.
Deniers are also a good way to adapt to the seasons and the weather. In winter, the 60D will keep you warm, while when the warmer weather arrives, the lightness of the 30D will be ideal.
